Tender Touches - Reach One // Touch One
An initiative of the local board of the Church of the
Nazarene to reach out and touch individuals within our church and community
thereby showing the love of Christ. The focal point of Tender Touches is Prayer,
Encouragement & Visitation.
It is our belief that everyone desires a touch from another person. Touches can
take the form of a card, a call, a meal, a social gathering, etc.
By showing our love & support through the following areas, we will begin to
show Christ's love to those in our community.
This includes; Showers (baby and wedding), Sunshine Boxes, Welcome Loaves and Cookies,
Appreciation Treats (RCMP, & ORHS / ORES teachers), "Meals that Bless", Pastor
Appreciation, Funeral Receptions, Cards (get well-if in hospital, and sympathy)
and Secret Angels for students (away) and seniors.

Greeters / Ushers
The Usher & Greeters ministry team consists of a group of dedicated women and men who serve as
greeters as well as ushers. We are the first to bring a warm welcome to those who come to our services.
Our team is blessed with individuals who provide service to the congregation with a smile and offer assistance when needed, i.e. finding seats, directing children
to child care, etc. As ushers, we collect the weekly offerings.
The goal of these ministries is to see that you feel welcome as soon
as you enter our church and to offer information and assistance when needed.
If you would like additional information or you want to be a part of this "welcome" ministry,
talk to any usher, or contact Vance Mattinson.

Video / Audio Department
The Video / Audio department operates the projection and computer set up
as well as the sound equiment during each service. They work with the
Pastor and Worship Team to apply their computer skills in preparing
presentations and audio tools for use during the Sunday
Morning and Evening Services. More than mere technicians, they watch and
listen carefully during the service to coordinate the presentations with
the worship songs and the message. They are often the least recognized
volunteers in the church... until something goes wrong. Then everyone
becomes acutely aware of how important they are.
Do you love to dabble in computers or listen to and set up music? Would you
like the opportunity to mix/blend the Worship Team instrumentalists and vocalists?
Would you like to learn how technical music equipment operates? If so, this
ministry is for you!
If you have computer skills, a knack for the technical and an ear for sound, and
a eye for details, contact Jon Lochbilher for more information on how you can get involved.
Have you ever listened to a Sunday morning or evening sermon and thought about a friend who would benefit
from the message? Has your faith grown and developed as you listened to a tape by a favorite minister?
If so, you know the importance and value of the Tape Duplication Ministry. The Tape Duplication
Ministry which is dedicated to building the faith of believers. Volunteers prepare tapes from a
variety of services and make them available to those who desire to hear the preaching of God's Word.
For more information on this valuable ministry, contact Jon Lochbilher.
